I was recently interviewed on the “Grembo” podcast in an episode titled “Elisabetta Pesenti, career moms,” where I shared my experience as a mother of four children and a professional in the coaching field.
During our conversation, I recounted my four childbirth experiences, all profoundly different from each other: from highly medicalized hospital birth to home birth, more intimate and quiet. Despite the differences, each experience was united by the magic of that first gaze exchanged with my children, who today are 13, 11, 7, and 4 years old.
We talked in depth about a topic that is particularly close to my heart: how to balance motherhood with career. I shared my personal and professional experience, emphasizing the importance of constantly updating the list of priorities and staying flexible, avoiding becoming rigid in patterns and beliefs. As I often say in my podcast “Career Moms,” children continually teach us to review and adapt our plans.
During the interview, I also revealed what I consider the “secret” to extending the days when you’re a parent and 24 hours never seem enough. It’s a perspective that I believe can be useful to all moms and dads who are trying to balance family and work.
I invite you to listen to the entire episode of the “Grembo” podcast to discover this secret and many other insights on parenting and career.
