I was recently a guest at the ETHICAL HR 2025 event, an important three-day conference dedicated to ethical culture and sustainability in the human resources world. It was a great honor for me to share, as Co-Founder of La Luna del Grano – Benefit Corporation, our approach and vision on the psychological well-being of working parents.
In my presentation, I wanted to highlight how mental well-being represents a primary asset for people in the workplace, with particular attention to parents. This theme inevitably intertwines with that of gender gaps, as there are still numerous cases of parental burnout due to poor distribution of family responsibilities.
I emphasized how being a parent who doesn’t abandon their career cannot and should not be considered a “superpower,” but a normal condition in a truly inclusive and sustainable work environment. Companies have a fundamental role in creating environments that support parents, reducing stress and preventing burnout through targeted welfare policies.
During my presentation, I shared some of the solutions we offer with La Luna del Grano, such as coaching paths for new parents and training programs for companies, aimed at creating an organizational culture that values parenthood as an experience that also enriches professional skills.
I am grateful to the TeamDifferent organizers for giving me this platform to discuss such important topics. The debate that ensued demonstrated how necessary it is to continue talking about mental health in the workplace and how companies can actively contribute to creating a more equitable and sustainable work environment for everyone.
